does anyone know of any good camps for kids that are hearing impaired?
It would have to be in Ohio, and maybe just a day camp. One with horses would be nice. Just woundering if anyones kids have been to a camp they really liked.I just dont know how safe camps are, but I think he needs something to keep him busy this summer.

- Camp Emmanuel looks pretty awesome! http://www.campemanuel.org/index.htm YMCA Camp Tippicanoe offers arrangements for the hearing impaired, maybe give them a call http://www.campdepot.com/camps/c21253.html This one is hosted by Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center http://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/visit/support/camps/hearing.htm Hope these help! Having worked at camp with disabled children before, I can personally say it's an awesome experience for both the campers and the counselors!!! Good luck
- Many camps have already been suggested, but I would also suggest contacting your state's school for the deaf and asking them what kind of programs they suggest for their students. Many schools are affiliated with summer programs that cater to children with special needs.
