What are the best camps for kids in Illinois?

My children are choosing their summer camps now. They are all mostly grade school age, and one young teenage girl. We live in Illinois, and I did not want them to go too far from home for camp. Do any of you know of which camps are the best and the safest?

1. The say no to Barack Obama camp. Edit: I just had to come back to mention that the user below has a good answer and should get the best answer (YMCA is a good option). I just thought it was funny/great that someone gave me a thumbs up on my original answer.
2. Check with your church or local YMCA. I don't know any specifically, but those are both good sources or starting points. Unfortunately, kids summer camps like they have in the movies like The Parent Trap are becoming a thing of the past. Sadly.
