What can an 11-year-old do all day long during the summer besides go to day camp?
This is for a boy. And I am his mom, not the boy. I don't want him on a computer all day. Is there something useful he can do, some place he can go and learn things without being at a camp? I like the mother's helper idea. What else is there?

- 11 year olds can be mother's helpers! This is when the 11 year old goes to a parent's house and watches their children while the parent is at home, in another room or outdoors. This is especially good if a parent has young children and needs someone to watch them while he/she visits with a friend in another room. Most mother's helpers make about half of what a babysitter makes or you can do it for free.
