Lost River Camps

Looking for a camping site on the Shenandoah River in VA?

Does anyone know of an area where there is river access/ good fishing and you are able to camp in a wooded area? I've heard you can camp anywhere in the Shenandoah Nt'l Forest- is this true? Permit required??

2. No you cant camp just anywhere in a Natl Forest . But you can get a free permit for backcountry camping I highly recommend Big Meadows in Shenandoah Natl Park area its a beautiful place nice hiking and good fishing lots of wildlife and deer as well.
